Show picture in original size.
At the beginning of the game  a child is chosen among the children; he/she will  play   the part of the QUEEN with  the important role to lead the game;  the rest of the participants will  play the part of AMBASSADORS .
On the ground a line, 20-40 metres long,  will be drawn  from the place where the queen has to  sit on a chair.
All  ambassadors are  placed behind this line and,  in turn,  they will recite the following  ritual rhyme :

QUEEN, LITTLE QUEEN ,
HOW MANY STEPS DO I HAVE TO TAKE
TO GET TO YOUR CASTLE
WITH FAITH AND WITH THE RING
AND THE TIP OF THE KNIFE?

The queen will decide then, according to her will, the way in which her classmate can get  close to her through  a certain number of  steps imitating an animal

LION STEP :  go forward with long steps
CRANE  STEP:  go forward only jumping on one foot
KANGAROO STEP : advance skipping (with both your feet)
ANT STEP : advance with small steps
CAT STEP : move on all fours
SHRIMP STEP : move backward with long steps
HORSE STEP: gallop forward
SNAKE STEP: move forward crawling on the ground

If the child mistakes the number of steps or falls down, he will go back to the starting point.
The first player who gets close to the queen wins the game ; he will immediately  play the part of the queen and the game can  start again.
The duration  and results of the game are entirely in the hands of the queen who can freely  assign the most  favourable or unfavourable steps  to the children.
Aims of the game:
- To do exercise
- To develop the attention ability
